The project involved the demolition of an existing dwelling and the erection of a spacious three-bedroom bungalow with integral garage at this site in Truro. Internally the design incorporates glulam ridge beams, a vaulted ceiling over the lounge and galleried landing of generous size with reading area. Permeable decorative paving slabs were laid to the front turning area and rear patio, which is accessed via 2.1m high bi-folding doors. With energy efficiency a major consideration in the design, roof construction provided a U-value of 0.16 W/m2.K and insulation between studs provided an external wall U-value of 0.18 W/m2.K
